Porcelain studs by Ooloong Lilit Gevorgyan grew up visiting the gold mine her father worked in, marveling at the specks of gold gleaming from the rock. Years later, she decided to pivot entirely from a successful career in financial management in order to learn the craft of porcelain jewelry making. She launched Ooloong (Armenian for “bead” or “charm”) in 2017. Each Oooloong piece is shaped, detailed and baked by hand in Lilit’s home studio in Yerevan.
The studs we’ve featured are made of Spanish porcelain and the 24K luster gold is sourced from the U.S.—Lilit hand-punctures the porcelain and drips the gold onto it to evoke the gold ores from her childhood.
