Handmade brass ring with rust inlay. From Armenia, with love.
Our brass rings were designed and handcrafted by Ara Ghulijanyan, an art instructor at the Koghb Art School located in the mountainous border village of Koghb, 3 hours north of Yerevan in the Tavush province. He and the other instructors at the Art School run Yereqnuk Handicrafts, named after the Armenian word for 'shamrock,' through which they sell a number of other handmade metal and leather products.
Each ring has a unique version of Ara's hand-etched tree-branch (or tree roots, or even veins, depending how you look at them) motif pounded and polished into it, with the additional feature to adjust the size of the ring depending on who is wearing it.
